Omkar Cloud for Google Sheets: Australia Grocery Prices

The Omkar Cloud add-on for Google Sheets™ (listed as "Omkar Cloud" on the Google Workspace Marketplace). Compare and track grocery prices at Coles, Woolworths and Aldi Australia, right in your spreadsheet. Type one formula and get product names, brands, sizes, prices, was-prices, specials and unit prices as rows.

Prices are fetched live from the supermarkets' websites by the Omkar Cloud Coles, Woolworths and Aldi Scraper APIs, so you see today's prices.

What you can do

  • Compare prices: search a product at all three supermarkets at once and sort by price or unit price.
  • Track prices: list the products you care about and see each one's price, was-price and special status today.
  • Find specials: list what's on special right now at Coles or Woolworths, or Aldi's latest Special Buys.

Get started in 3 steps

1. Install the add-on

Install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace, then open any Google Sheet and go to Extensions → Omkar Cloud.

2. Add your free API key

Sign up on Omkar Cloud (free, no credit card) and copy your key from the API key page. In the sheet, open Extensions → Omkar Cloud → Settings and paste it.

3. Type a formula

=GROCERY_SEARCH("full cream milk 2L", "all", 3)

Three 2-litre full cream milks from each supermarket appear as rows, side by side, with a header row. Or open Extensions → Omkar Cloud → Insert example sheet to get a ready-made tab with every function.

Functions

GROCERY_SEARCH(query, [supermarket], [limit], [sort])

Searches products and returns one row per product.

  • query: what to search, e.g. "full cream milk 2L" or "Tim Tam".
  • supermarket: "all", "coles", "woolworths" or "aldi". Default "all".
  • limit: products per supermarket, 1–30. Default 10.
  • sort: "relevance", "price" or "unit_price" (cheapest first; with "unit_price", Aldi's rows sort by price). Default "relevance".

Columns: Supermarket, Product, Brand, Size, Price (AUD), Was price, On special, Unit price, Product ID, Link.

=GROCERY_SEARCH("Tim Tam", "coles")

GROCERY_PRICE(supermarket, product_id)

Returns today's price of one product as a single row, without a header, so you can fill a price-tracking list. Use the Product ID from GROCERY_SEARCH, or the product's link on the supermarket's website.

Columns: Product, Price (AUD), Was price, On special, Unit price.

=GROCERY_PRICE("woolworths", "888137")

GROCERY_SPECIALS(supermarket, [limit])

Returns products on special right now at "coles" or "woolworths", or Aldi's latest Special Buys with "aldi". Limit 1–30, default 20. Same columns as GROCERY_SEARCH.

=GROCERY_SPECIALS("coles", 20)

Pricing

The add-on uses your Omkar Cloud plans for the Coles, Woolworths and Aldi Scraper APIs. Each supermarket includes 1,000 free calls every month, no credit card. Paid plans start at $16 a month for 20,000 calls per supermarket.

Each formula uses one call per supermarket it reads, so GROCERY_SEARCH with "all" uses one call at each of the three. Results are reused for an hour, so recalculating a sheet doesn't spend calls again. See how many calls you have left in Settings.

The add-on is sold by Omkar Cloud. Google does not charge for it or handle payments.

Privacy and data

The add-on can only access the spreadsheet you use it in. It sends only the inputs you type into its functions (your search, the supermarket and options) and your API key to the Omkar Cloud API, and writes the results back into your sheet. It never reads your other files, email or contacts. Read the details in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
