Interest by Region

Up to 5 comma-separated search terms or Google topic ids (from /autocomplete), or a Google Trends explore link. A link's geo, date, cat and gprop also fill geo, timeframe, category and property when you leave those out.

resolution

Breakdown level. Worldwide data breaks down by country or city; a country by region, city or, in the US only, metro (DMA); a region by city or metro; a metro by city.

Default: the next level below geo

Allowed values: country, region, city, metro

include_low_volume

Also return places with too little search volume to rate (their values come back null).

Default: false

geo

Where to measure: a country, a region, a US metro area (DMA) or worldwide (see /geos for every code). A trends.google.com link with ?geo= works too.

Default: worldwide

Examples: US, US-CA (California), US-CA-803 (Los Angeles), GB-ENG (England)

timeframe

Time range. The resolution follows it: minutes for the past hour, hours for the past 7 days, days up to 90 days, weeks up to 5 years, months for all.

Default: past_12_months

Allowed values: past_hour, past_4_hours, past_day, past_7_days, past_30_days, past_90_days, past_12_months, past_5_years, all (since 2004), a date range YYYY-MM-DD YYYY-MM-DD (from 2004-01-01), or an hour range of up to 7 days YYYY-MM-DDTHH YYYY-MM-DDTHH (UTC)

category

Google Trends category id that narrows the searches to one topic area (see /categories).

Default: 0 (all categories)

Examples: 71 (Food & Drink), 5 (Computers & Electronics), 20 (Sports)

property

Which Google search to measure.

Default: web

Allowed values: web, images, news, youtube, shopping

language

Language for names and labels: an ISO 639-1 code or a locale.

Default: en
