Breakdown level. Worldwide data breaks down by country or city; a country by region, city or, in the US only, metro (DMA); a region by city or metro; a metro by city.

Where to measure: a country, a region, a US metro area (DMA) or worldwide (see /geos for every code). A trends.google.com link with ?geo= works too.
