"text": "Paid Premium Prices for a Dead-on-Arrival Drive and Worst-in-Class Service Rating: 1/5 stars (Only because 0 stars isn’t an option) If you enjoy paying a premium to get utterly screwed over, trapped in a bureaucratic loop of shipping delays, and nickel-and-dimed for a multi-hundred-dollar flagship component, then Best Buy is the retailer for you. For everyone else, stay far, far away. The \"Dead on Arrival\" Nightmare I ordered a Samsung 9100 PRO 4TB SSD; a high-end, premium drive that should have worked flawlessly out of the box. Instead, after the initial shipment was already plagued by frustrating delays, the drive finally arrived completely Dead on Arrival (DOA). Zero life, zero quality control. You would think a major tech retailer could handle a straightforward hardware transaction, but they shipped out broken hardware and left me to deal with the fallout. The Audacity: Charging to Ship Their Own Broken Junk When a massive corporation sends a customer defective flagship merchandise, a competent business owns it, apologizes, and next-day-airs a working replacement. Not Best Buy. They had the absolute nerve to make me pay out of pocket to ship the replacement for a brick they sent me. They ship broken products, and you get penalized with a shipping fee just to get what you actually paid for. Unbelievable. The \"Delayed Again\" Infinite Loop And what did paying for that replacement shipping get me? Absolutely nothing. The replacement is now delayed yet again. The tracking updates are an absolute joke, and my system is sitting completely dead in the water because Best Buy’s inventory management and logistics pipeline are utterly broken. The App is a Glorified Digital Ad Circular Don’t look to the Best Buy app for help, either. It’s completely useless for resolving actual customer crises. It's fantastic if you want aggressive push notifications trying to sell you paid memberships, but the second you need real-time tracking, accurate stock status, or actual customer support that isn't a brain-dead chatbot, it falls completely flat. Bottom Line: The local store staff can't fix it, the app is a useless data-harvesting shell, and corporate logistics are an absolute joke. Taking people's money for flagship tech, delaying the order, sending a dead product, charging them to ship the replacement, and then delaying it again is a pathetic excuse for customer service. Never buying hardware here again.",

"text": "I purchased a refurbished computer online from Best Buy on Dec 29th, it arrived today 1/3 and was DOA. The advertised listing is 1 yr parts and 1 yr labor warranty... it was broken on arrival and not due to the carrier, the box was undamaged, it was not adequately packaged at all. I contacted Best Buy and was told it was a \"Marketplace\" purchase and to contact Acer since they were the seller. I contacted Acer and was told there was no warranty and since I hadn't purchased it from \"their\" website and I had done so through Best Buy that it was \"Best Buy's\" problem to fix. I called back to customer service.. got a \"tech\" that didn't know the first thing about the computer and wanted me to power it up to see if it still worked, argued about who was responsible to honor the advertised warranty, then transferred me to Geek Squad. The gentleman at the local store told me to bring it in and he would see what he could do, Cody at Muncie, IN Geek Squad get's 5 stars because he apologized and attempted to fix it, then said he would replace the parts and not charge me labor but he didn't have authority to replace the parts, even though it has a 1 yr warranty.. and Corporate and Marketplace keep blaming one another instead of just honoring the $1400 sale terms... so now I spent an additional $262.13 to cover the broken parts and Customer Service and Acer are still arguing that neither is responsible for selling me a $1400 paper weight with an RTX 5070 GPU inside... I am done with Best Buy. Micro Center can have my business going forward. I mean I hadn't even hooked the damn thing up, the thermal cooler had broke free and broke the motherboard in transit... but hey, it's always the customer's fault and they will always sell you items with warranty's that they will never honor because it's always someone else's problem so long as they get your money!",

"text": "Horrible experience. I ordered a sound bar online that was open box and listed in fair condition. I figured that meant no box, some scratches, and no instructions. I was planning on putting it on a tv I had on my patio so no big deal. I get there to do curbside pickup and the employee comes out and says that the he couldn’t find the subwoofer that went with the soundbar. He asked me to wait for a few minutes so he could go look for it. He comes back a few minutes later and says that he couldn’t find it and that they should have said it was missing it before selling it to me. He said that I had to go inside and go to customer service. I go to customer service and wait in line for about 10 minutes and finally it’s my turn. I tell the employee what happened and he tells me that I’m in the wrong line and need to go to the pickup line. I go to the pickup line and tell him what happened. He says that he will go look. He comes and says he can’t find the subwoofer and calls a manager over. She says that it was probably a display model and that she would go look for the subwoofer. At this point I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes or so. She said she couldn’t find it either. They then suggest I could buy a new one. I asked if I would have to pay full price for the new one, they said yes. So I asked for a refund. The employee goes and gets the soundbar. He tells me that it had no power cable or remote either. So I asked him what I would do with a soundbar with no subwoofer, power cable, or remote. It’s just an expensive paper weight at that point. He says that they sell the cable for it. I asked him why I why would I pay for the cable instead just buying a new soundbar. He just shrugged his shoulders. Even getting a refund was a pain because the employee couldn’t figure out how to do it so he had to call another manager over. If they had at least offered to give me a discount on a new one for my troubles, that would’ve been fine but they didn’t. They need to start throwing things in the trash instead of selling them as “fair condition”. No cables (including the power cable), no subwoofer (which is included in the price), or anything else that is in the photos online is not “fair condition”. DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX ITEMS. They are selling you garbage.",

"text": "Very disappointed in the corporate monster Best Buy has become. Used to be a company that I felt confident in buying products from, but now there is little to no customer support. Purchased an $90 charging mount that broke within a month of use, but since I had gone on vacation right after I purchased it and didn’t actually use it for a month, Best Buy wouldn’t honor a return because it had been over 30 days. I was informed if I wanted to pay for their yearly subscription, then it would be something they would honor. The latest ordeal has been purchasing headphones on a Black Friday sale. After several weeks my order was cancelled by the system automatically because of “shipping delays”. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do about it, so I’d have to just place an order again. When I said I couldn’t just do the same order again because it was no longer at the sale price, and if there was something they could do to help me, they said they are unable to. So I’d have to now pay full price for the same thing because of an automated system arbitrarily canceling my order because it was taking too long. Incredibly disappointed in the lack of true customer service. Will not be purchasing items from this company anymore.",

"text": "I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience with an online purchase from BestBuy.com and the handling of the issue at one of your retail locations. I recently purchased an item through BestBuy.com. After multiple delivery delays, the item finally arrived; however, it was covered in mud inside the box, indicating that it was damaged or mishandled prior to delivery. Due to the condition of the item, I contacted customer service and was instructed to return it to a local Best Buy store. When I arrived at the store, the Store Manager, Dee, refused to accept the return. While I was on the phone with a Best Buy customer service representative, the manager told the representative that he had the right to refuse any return, despite the item arriving in an unacceptable condition and despite following instructions provided by Best Buy’s own customer service. When I stated that I would not leave until the issue was resolved, I was informed that mall security would be called. This response was unnecessary, unprofessional, and deeply upsetting, especially given that I was simply attempting to return a defective item in accordance with Best Buy’s guidance.",
